BEAVERTON MAN JAILED FOR ALLEGED ASSAULT INCIDENT AT REST AREA

A Beaverton man was jailed Tuesday night following an alleged assault incident at a rest area.

An Oregon State Police report said at 10:30 p.m. a trooper responded to the Cabin Creek rest area on Interstate Five, north of Oakland. A caller claimed that the man had assaulted a female. Upon arrival, both were contacted. Ultimately the man, identified as 43-year-old Michael Ullman, was charged with fourth-degree assault, a felony count of strangulation, and menacing. Bail was set at $25,000.
