ROSEBURG POLICE JAIL TWO PEOPLE FOLLOWING ALLEGED ASSAULT INCIDENT

Roseburg Police jailed two people following an alleged assault incident on Tuesday.

An RPD report said at 2:00 p.m. a disturbance was called in near an Adapt Integrated Health Care building in the 400 block of Northeast Winchester Street. The report said one man was possibly possessing a firearm.

Two people were found nearby, but no firearm was located. Officers learned that a 27-year-old man allegedly assaulted the second person by shoving her into a fence pole. He was charged with fourth-degree assault and for a parole violation. Bail was set at $6,250. The victim had an active warrant for her arrest from the Coos Bay Police Department. She was detained on $10,000 bail and was released later in the day.
