At Monday night’s Roseburg City Council meeting, Mayor Larry Rich announced that City Manager Nikki Messenger plans to retire at the end of June.

Messenger was officially named Roseburg City Manager in the summer of 2019 after being the interim manager for several months. Previously Messenger was in the city’s Public Works Department, eventually being the director for several years.

Councilors will hold a special meeting on Monday, March 30th at 6:00 pm. to discuss the city manager recruitment process.
