Roseburg Police jailed a man Monday afternoon for an alleged prior vehicle theft.

An RPD report said the 30-year-old was developed as a suspect in a stolen vehicle which was located on February 26th. The man was contacted Monday just before 2:00 p.m. in the 1400 block of Northwest Garden Valley Boulevard and was taken into custody. He admitted to having a small amount of fentanyl in his pocket.

The man was charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and possession of a stolen vehicle. He was cited for unlawful possession of a controlled substance. The man was detained without bail and was released on Tuesday morning.
