Sutherlin Police jailed a man for a DUII incident on Sunday evening.

An SPD report said at 7:50 p.m. officers were notified of a possibly intoxicated driver near the intersection of East Everett Avenue and Umpqua Street. Officers located the 21-year-old stumbling near his vehicle, which was parked perpendicularly in the roadway. Officers observed signs of impairment. The man refused standard field sobriety tests and requested an attorney. Officers were granted a search warrant to determine the man’s blood alcohol level. His breath sample indicated a BAC of 0.12 percent.

The man was charged with driving under the influence of intoxicants and driving while suspended. He was detained without bail.
