The Umpqua National Forest has announced that the winter closure that impacted National Forest Service Road #3401, the road to Umpqua Hot Springs, has officially been rescinded.
A UNF release said the closure order had been put in place following a winter storm on January 5th. It has been lifted following improved weather and road conditions.
With easier access to Umpqua Hot Springs, all visitors should be aware of Umpqua Hot Springs Day-use Rules and Regulations.
The area of the Umpqua Hot Springs is designated day-use only. Prohibited actions in or around the Umpqua Hot Springs include:
*Being in the area after sundown or before sunrise
*Camping and
*Parking or leaving a vehicle in violation of posted instructions.
Beginning April 1st, visitors are reminded that Umpqua Hot Springs Trailhead will transition to cashless collections. Those wishing to recreate at the Umpqua Hot Springs will need to display their America the Beautiful pass on their vehicle dashboard or hangtag, or download the www.Recreation.gov.app to create an account and input a valid form of payment before heading out on their adventure.
