Douglas County 4-H is hosting a hands-on Ikebana Workshop this Friday, March 27th.
An OSU Extension Service release said the event will give teens and senior 4-H members the opportunity to explore the traditional Japanese art of flower arranging. Participants will learn the fundamentals of balance, harmony, and creative design while crafting their own beautiful floral arrangements.
This workshop is designed for older youth interested in hands-on arts, culture and creative challenges. All materials will be provided, and each participant will leave with their own elegant arrangement to take home.
The event will begin at 10:00 a.m. at the Extension office on Southeast Douglas Avenue, just east of the Douglas County Courthouse.
The cost to attend is $30 and registration is required. To sign up, contact the OSU Extension Service at 672-4461.
