ROSEBURG TIES RECORD HIGH FOR THE DATE ON THURSDAY

March 20, 2026 4:00 a.m.

Roseburg tied the record high temperature for the date on Thursday, but the streak of warm weather around twenty degrees above seasonal norms, appears to have ended.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service in Medford told News Radio 93-9 FM and 1240 KQEN that the mercury reached 81 degrees at the Roseburg Regional Airport. That tied the record for March 19th set back in 1960.

Forecasters said high pressure that has been dominating the region will be pushing out by Saturday. Friday should see highs in the low to mid 70s, but the weekend will return to normal seasonal temperatures of near 60 degrees. There is the chance for some light rain on Friday night and into Saturday. A new weather system will bring a front with colder air, even leading to the potential for frost in some areas Saturday night, with lows in the mid 30’s.
