Douglas Educational Service District will host an open house for people interested in becoming a speech language pathology assistant on Monday, March 30th

It will take place at the ESD offices on Northeast Diamond Lake Boulevard, next to the Roseburg Public Library. A virtual option will also be available for those who cannot attend in person.

Speech-language pathology assistants work alongside speech-language pathologists to help students build communication skills that support learning, confidence and success in school.

The open house will provide an opportunity to learn about the role of an SLPA, what the job is like day-to-day, and the steps needed to begin the career pathway. Attendees will also hear about available training and support options.
