One driver was taken to the hospital following a two-vehicle crash on Monday afternoon.
A Roseburg Police report said shortly after 3:00 p.m. officers were dispatched to the wreck at the corner of Southeast Stephens Street and Southeast Douglas Avenue. The first driver told officers that he drove through the intersection but did not remember what color his traffic light was, but in the middle of the intersection crashed into the second vehicle.
The driver whose vehicle was hit, a 71-year-old woman, was transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center due to her injuries. Video from a nearby business showed that the driver whose vehicle was hit had a green light, while the first vehicle had a red light and did not stop, which caused the crash. The driver who caused the wreck was cited for failure to obey a traffic control device. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
