ROSEBURG POLICE JAIL MAN FOLLOWING REPORTED DISTURBANCE

Roseburg Police jailed a man following a reported disturbance at a store on Friday.

An RPD report said at 2:55 p.m. officers contacted the 37-year-old during a disturbance at the business in the 2500 block of Northwest Stewart Parkway. During the incident, the suspect allegedly struck an unknown elderly male in the face several times before being confronted several bystanders. The man then reportedly fled in the store’s parking lot, which is a location he is trespassed from.

The man was found in the parking lot and taken into custody without incident. He was  transported to corrections. The man was charged with second-degree counts of criminal trespass and disorderly conduct. Bail was set at $3,750.
