ROSEBURG POLICE JAIL MAN FOR SECOND-DEGREE DISORDERLY CONDUCT

Roseburg Police jailed a man on the charge of second-degree disorderly conduct early Monday morning.

An RPD report said shortly before 2:00 a.m. officers contacted the 37-year-old after he was allegedly trespassing at a business in the 2100 block of Northwest Stewart Parkway. During contact with the man, he was reportedly agitated, yelling and screaming during the entire contact. The suspect eventually moved his belongings from the property however he began to block traffic while attempting to get officers to fight him.

At that that point, officers attempted to take the man into custody, but he stood in a fighting stance and reportedly made several threatening statements. Due to his aggression, a taser was deployed and the man was detained without incident. Medical attended to the man and he was transported to the jail.

While at corrections, staff allegedly located a small amount of methamphetamine on the man’s person.

The man was also charged with second-degree theft. Bail was set at $3,500.
