Roseburg had warm weather over the weekend, but cooler temperatures are ahead for the next couple of days.
Forecasters at the National Weather Service in Medford told News Radio 93-9 FM and 1240 KQEN that the mercury reached 70 degrees on Saturday and 66 degrees on Sunday at the Roseburg Regional Airport. The normal high temperatures for this part of March in the Umpqua Valley are around 58 degrees. Saturday’s 70-degree high was the warmest day of the year so far. Sunday’s 66-degree high tied with February 4th for the second warmest day of the year to this point.
For this week, cooler than normal temperatures are expected for Monday and Tuesday with gradually warming temperatures later in the week. While the chance of showers is likely to begin on Wednesday, forecasters said only light showers or drizzle with not much rain accumulation is expected.
