Roseburg Police jailed a man following an alleged strangulation incident on Thursday night.

An RPD report said at 9:20 p.m. the 56-year-old allegedly held a victim down by her throat following an argument. The suspect then reportedly grabbed a pillow and placed it over the victim’s face and made additional threats. He was charged with a felony count of strangulation and menacing. The man was detained without bail.
