ROSEBURG POLICE JAIL THREE PEOPLE FOR PROHIBITED CAMPING

Roseburg Police jailed three people for prohibited camping on Wednesday.

An RPD report said at 11:30 a.m. four people ranging in age from 41 to 57 were all camping in a tent just south of the Deer Creek Bridge in the 200 block of Southeast Pine Street. This was a violation of the city ordinance’s time, place, and manner restrictions.

Three people, aged 41, 42 and 57, were in violation at a criminal level. The older two people were detained on $5,000 bail while the younger person was held without bail. All of them were released later in the day. The fourth person was cited for prohibited camping and then was released.
