A pedestrian was taken to the hospital after being hit by a vehicle on Wednesday evening.

A Roseburg Police report said just after 7:30 p.m. the man was walking across the sidewalk in the 1600 block of Northwest Troost Street when a motorist drove her vehicle into the side of the pedestrian. The man was transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center for his injuries.

The female motorist was cited for failure to yield the right of way to a pedestrian and then was released.
