Sutherlin Police charged a man with strangulation on Monday afternoon.
An SPD report said at 2:00 p.m. officers responded to a disturbance in the 100 block of Myrtle Street. The investigation revealed that a 43-year-old had allegedly grabbed a victim by the throat, leaving marks on her neck. The victim’s service dog bit the suspect, stopping the incident. The man was taken into custody and transported to jail. Bail was set at $6,250. He was released on Tuesday morning.
