A Florence woman was jailed by Oregon State Police following a crash on Highway 38 on Friday night.

An OSP report said just after 8:05 p.m. troopers responded to a single-vehicle non-injury crash about three and a half miles east of Elkton. An eastbound SUV struck the side of the highway tunnel and came to an uncontrolled stop, blocking the eastbound lane of travel. The female driver reportedly left the scene of the crash and was located later by troopers.

The report said the woman exhibited signs and symptoms of impairment. She was identified as Ashley Weissenburger and charged with driving under the influence of intoxicants, reckless driving, recklessly endangering, unlawful possession of methamphetamine, failure to perform the duties of a driver with property damage and for harassment.  Weissenberger was detained without bail.
