A driver admitted to falling asleep, which led to a single vehicle crash early Monday morning.

An Oregon State Police report said just after 3:45 a.m. the vehicle was headed eastbound on Highway 138 East in the Idleyld Park area when it drifted across the road and into a westbound ditch. The SUV came to rest once it collided with a culvert. The driver could not get out of the vehicle due to its position. The woman was assisted by staff from Glide Rural Fire Protection District. She was not injured.

A towing company responded and removed the SUV.
