Sutherlin Police jailed a man Friday morning for an alleged prior assault incident.
An SPD report said on Sunday, February 1st at 11:50 p.m. officers responded to the 900 block of West Central Avenue after a caller said there had been an assault. The investigation determined that a 27-year-old man, who had left the scene, had assaulted a victim over a disagreement. During the assault, the victim had a tooth knocked out. The victim was transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center for treatment.
Friday at 1:00 a.m. Roseburg Police officers located the suspect in the parking lot of a business in the 500 block of Northwest Garden Valley Boulevard. Sutherlin Police officers responded to the location and took the suspect into custody. He was charged with fourth-degree assault. Bail was set at $6,250.
