Roseburg Police jailed a man for a third-degree theft charge on Thursday.
An RPD report said just before 1:30 p.m. officers contacted the 59-year-old at a store in the 700 block of Northwest Garden Valley Boulevard. He had reportedly opened several packages while in the business and placed them in his pockets. The man admitted to stealing the items and he was taken into custody without incident. The items were returned to an employee of the store.
The suspect was charged with third-degree theft. Bail was set at $1,000.
