CIRCUIT COURT ANNOUNCES CHANGES-RESTRAINING ORDER APPEARANCES

Douglas County Circuit Court has announced changes in restraining order appearances.

A release said restraining order appearances will be held each day at 1:05 p.m. Peace at Home Advocacy Center will assist parties with petitions weekdays from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The filing deadline is 12:30 p.m. in order to be on the first appearance docket that day. Any filings received after 12:30 p.m. will be heard the next day at 1:05 p.m.

Petitioners may e-file their documents or file in-person at any time in room 201 in the Justice Building. However, the first appearance will then be scheduled for the next available time. Those with questions about the restraining order process should call Douglas County Circuit Court at 957-2400.
