Douglas County 4-H and the Douglas County Farmer’s Co-Op are partnering to offer a Market Goat and Market Swine Selection and Feed Planning Seminar this spring.
An Oregon State University Extension Service release said youth and families will gain insight on selecting quality market animals and developing effective feed plans for success in their 4-H and FFA livestock projects.
Participants will gain practical tips to help their animals grow strong, stay healthy and perform their best when it matters most.
The event will be held on Wednesday, March 11th at the Douglas County Extension office on Southeast Douglas Avenue. The evening includes:
*Market goat selection and feed planning from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
*Market swine selection and feed planning from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
