Oregon State Police arrested a man for failure to report as a sex offender on Wednesday afternoon.
An OSP report said at 3:30 p.m. multiple traffic violations were observed on a suspect vehicle headed southbound on Interstate Five two miles south of Sutherlin. Information showed the registered owner and operator was an out of compliance sex offender who has failed to report since 2020. The 25-year-old Sutherlin man was taken into custody and transported to corrections. He was also charged with failure to report following a change of residency as well. The man was detained without bail and was released on Thursday.
