Roseburg Police jailed two men following an alleged disorderly conduct incident on Sunday afternoon.
An RPD report said at 2:50 p.m. officers responded to the Disc Golf area of Stewart Park in the 1400 block of Northwest Stewart Park Drive after a caller said two males were arguing and one of them had a firearm. Officers contacted the men, ages 46 and 49. Both claimed the older man approached the younger man in his recreational vehicle and when he did so, an argument ensued and the older man slashed a tire on the younger man’s vehicle with a knife.
The younger man allegedly grabbed the knife and slashed a tire on the older man’s vehicle. The older man then allegedly retrieved a handgun and told the other man to drop the knife. At that point the younger man walked back to his RV, and the older man told him to put his weapon away in his vehicle.
Both men were detained for engaging in what the report called violent, tumultuous behavior. Each man was detained on $2,500 bail.
