Roseburg Police cited a man for prohibited burning on Thursday night.

An RPD report said at 11:15 p.m. officers contacted the 38-year-old regarding a fire constructed of cardboard on the sidewalk near the intersection of Northwest Edenbower Boulevard and Northwest Renann Street. The man claimed he started the fire to keep warm. He was cited for the city ordinance violation and then was released
