AIR STAGNATION ADVISORY THROUGH 4:00 P.M. FRIDAY

January 23, 2026 4:10 a.m.

An Air Stagnation Advisory is in effect through 4:00 p.m. Friday within the valleys of Douglas County.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service in Medford told News Radio 93-9 FM and 1240 KQEN that the inversion that has been in place for several days is expected to weaken. While the high temperature is expected to get into the 40’s Friday, some fog will return for Saturday and Sunday. High temperatures of ten to fifteen degrees below normal are forecast for the weekend. Forecasters said the Roseburg Regional Airport has recorded an afternoon high in the 30s for seven of the last eight days. Thursday’s high at the airport was only 35 degrees.

A weather system approaching either Tuesday or Wednesday should mix things up, leading to more seasonal like temperatures and the potential for light rain.
