Roseburg Police jailed a woman for an alleged harassment incident early Tuesday morning.
An RPD report said just after 2:10 a.m. officers responded to a residence in the 1600 block of Southeast Mill Street after a victim claimed a friend had thrown a nicotine vaping device at her, striking her in the face and cutting the bridge of her nose.
Multiple witnesses at the scene reported they watched the incident, giving the same account. The suspect and a male allegedly left the scene prior to the officer’s arrival. They were contacted a short time later. The woman was heavily intoxicated and denied throwing anything at the victim.
She was taken into custody and transported to corrections. The woman was charged with harassment and detained on $2,500 bail. She was released later in the day.
