The Pacific Power Foundation has awarded grants to 63 arts and culture organizations in Oregon, Washington, and northern California.

Ryan Flynn, director of the Pacific Power Foundation and Pacific Power president, said, “We appreciate the important contributions of these local programs, which foster community engagement through theater, festivals and celebrations of cultural heritage”.

Grants to all the organizations totaled $173,760.

In Douglas County, the Safari Game Search Foundation and The Fish of Roseburg were each awarded $5,000.  The FISH will use the funds to help purchase a refrigerated van to use in their work. Safari Game Search Foundation will allocate the funding to help support free access to field trips at the park for low-income children in Oregon.

Arts and culture grants are made through one of four grant cycles offered by the Pacific Power Foundation each year. The Foundation supports a wide range of organizations within the communities served by Pacific Power.
