SUTHERLIN POLICE JAIL MAN FOR ALLEGED WEAPON INCIDENT

Sutherlin Police jailed a man for an alleged weapon incident on Monday.

An SPD report said at 9:40 a.m. officers responded to the 600 block of Southeast Second Street in Oakland after a caller said there was a man with a handgun. Through the investigation, it was learned that the man had confronted two men working on a job site next to his home. During the incident, the man reportedly produced a handgun in a threatening manner.

The suspect was taken into custody and charged with unlawful use of a weapon and menacing. He was detained without bail.
