AIR STAGNATION ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH 10:00 A.M. TUESDAY

January 17, 2026 6:00 a.m.

An Air Stagnation Advisory remains in effect through 10:00 a.m. Tuesday within the valleys of Douglas and Jackson counties.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service in Medford said decreased air quality will likely continue. This is due to an inversion and stagnant air conditions near the surface that will continue to trap pollutants.

Poor air quality will cause issues for people with respiratory problems. Those with respiratory illness should follow their physician’s advice for dealing with high levels of air pollution during periods of stagnant air.
