A Reedsport man was jailed Thursday for a warrant and for violating a no contact order.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said at 10:45 a.m. a deputy saw the 45-year-old man loading firewood into a vehicle near the intersection of Ranch Road and Frontage Road in the Reedsport area. The deputy knew that the man had an active warrant for his arrest. The man was contacted and detained. He has a no contact order with a protected person who was in the passenger seat of his vehicle.

Once the warrant and the no contact order was confirmed, the man was taken into custody. He was transported to corrections and was detained on $50,000 bail.
