ROSEBURG POLICE JAIL WOMAN FOR ALLEGED PRIOR ASSAULT INCIDENT

Roseburg Police jailed a woman Monday for an alleged prior assault incident.

An RPD report said at 10:10 a.m. officers received information over an alleged incident that occurred sometime after Christmas. During the investigation, it was discovered that the 32-year-old reportedly beat the victim with various items, causing physical injuries, at a residence in the 400 block of West Umpqua Street. Officers observed injuries on the victim, which corroborated the initial reports. The suspect was taken into custody and transported to corrections.

The woman was charged with second-degree assault and unlawful use of a weapon. She was detained without bail.
