The Rowe Street railroad trestle bridge in Roseburg caught fire on Wednesday morning.
Staff assistant Amy Rice of the Roseburg Fire Department said just after 7:30 a.m. crews responded after a caller said a beam was on fire on the structure that is adjacent to Northeast Rowe Street, just off of Northeast Winchester Street. Rice said upon arriving on the scene, firefighters determined that a lateral support beam that helps with retaining the easement under the trestle was on fire. The fire was quickly extinguished.
Rice said the cause of the fire is under investigation.
