A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect from 1:00 p.m. Wednesday to 10:00 a.m. on Thursday above 2,000 feet in the eastern Douglas County foothills.
Forecasters at the National Weather Service in Medford said heavy snow is expected above 2,000 feet in the county’s Cascade foothills. Total snow accumulations of 4 to 8 inches are forecast. Snow levels of 3,000 feet Wednesday afternoon will fall to 2,000 feet Wednesday evening, then drop as low as 1,500 feet as snow intensity decreases Thursday morning.
The Warning area includes Toketee Falls and Highway 138.
Forecasters said travel may be difficult with delays. Hazardous conditions could impact commutes Wednesday evening and Thursday morning.
