A Roseburg woman was taken to the hospital following a two-vehicle crash on Monday evening.

A Roseburg Police report said just before 6:00 p.m. officers were dispatched to the wreck with lane blockage and a damaged power pole near the intersection of Northeast Airport Road and Northwest Stewart Parkway. One driver was immediately transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center by ambulance.

Officers learned from witness statements and dash cam footage that the first driver was traveling eastbound on Stewart Parkway and failed to stop at the red light at the intersection with Airport Road, which resulted in his SUV crashing into the second vehicle. That driver was cited for failure to obey a traffic control device.

Both vehicles were towed from the scene. Pacific Power responded to the scene to repair the power pole.
