EUGENE MAN JAILED FOLLOWING TRAFFIC STOP ON SUNDAY

A Eugene man was jailed following a traffic stop on Sunday afternoon.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said just after 5:00 p.m. a deputy was in the area of the 900 block of Skelley Road near Yoncalla and noticed the 36-year-old pull to the side of the road and knew that he was driving while suspended. The deputy contacted the man and placed him into custody. A search of his person allegedly revealed approximately 1.6 grams of methamphetamine. He was taken into custody and transported to corrections.

The man was charged with driving while suspended and unlawful possession of methamphetamine. He was detained without bail.
