Roseburg Police cited a man for an alleged forgery incident on Monday.

An RPD report said just before 10:30 a.m. the 43-year-old allegedly attempted to cash a check at a check cashing business in the 700 block of Northeast Stephens Street. The check was determined to be forged.

The suspect denied knowing that the check was fraudulent. He was cited for second-degree counts of forgery and possession of a forged instrument and was released on scene.
