Roseburg Police jailed a man for a restraining order violation on Friday.

An RPD report said just after 8:15 a.m. officers responded to a residence in the 1700 block of Southeast Starmer Street after a caller said a 58-year-old man was inside the home, while the resident was in the hospital. This was a direct violation of an active restraining order in place between the two people.

Officers searched the home with the permission of the occupant and located the suspect under a bed in the victim’s bedroom. He was taken into custody without incident. The man was detained on $5,000 bail.
