A California man was jailed for restraining order and drug law violations early Sunday.
A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said at 2:15 a.m. a vehicle was called in with two subjects acting suspicious acting suspicious in the 500 block of Fifth Street in Canyonville. The two were reported to be having some sort of argument while the male was acting strange outside the vehicle.
The female told a deputy that man, identified as 32-year-old Zackariah Kelso from Stockton, was using drugs and acting strangely. The deputy determined there was a protection order in place, protecting the woman from Kelso. He was detained and was placed in a patrol vehicle. The female requested that the deputy remove the drugs from her vehicle.
A smaller zipper bag allegedly containing approximately two grams of methamphetamine, several grams of psilocybin mushrooms, and a small bindle containing several Ritalin pills.
Kelso was charged with violation of a restraining order, and unlawful possession of methamphetamine, and unlawful possession of both a Schedule I and a Schedule II controlled substance. He was detained without bail.
