A driver was taken to the hospital following an overnight wreck on Wednesday.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said at 1:30 a.m. the vehicle was on Gazley Ridge Road in Canyonville, when it went over Main Street and crashed into the bushes in the parking lot of a business. The driver, an Ashland woman, was transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center, by ambulance. Following her discharge, she was given a courtesy ride to a motel.

The driver was cited for driving while suspended and driving uninsured. Her van was towed from the scene. The driver’s dog was taken to Saving Grace Humane Society.
