A Wind Advisory remains in effect from 10:00 p.m. Tuesday through 10:00 am. Wednesday for central Douglas County and its eastern foothills, plus other adjacent areas in the region.
Forecasters at the National Weather Service in Medford told News Radio 93-9 FM and 1240 KQEN that a surface low pressure system is expected to pass through the area from late Tuesday through early Wednesday but exactly what path it takes is uncertain. This leads to a lot of variability as to how strong winds may be.
Southeast winds from 15 to 25 miles per hour are forecast with gusts up to 45 miles per hour in areas west of the Cascades. Roseburg should see winds to near 15 miles per hour with gusts as high as 20 miles per hour.
Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects, and a few power outages may result. Large inflatable holiday decorations will be blown about.
