Roseburg Police jailed a man for a trespass charge and a warrant on Wednesday night.
An RPD report said at 11:30 p.m. officers responded after a caller said a man was trespassing at a residence near the 600 block of West Harvard Avenue. The suspect reportedly tried to open the front door at the victim’s home after she repeatedly told him to leave.
The man was contacted in the area and had an unworked warrant for his arrest. The man was detained. The warrant was confirmed and the man was taken into custody and transported to corrections. At corrections, deputies allegedly located a user amount of methamphetamine on his person.
He was charged with second-degree criminal trespass and for the warrant. The man was cited for unlawful possession of methamphetamine. Bail was set at $11,250.
