Roseburg Police cited a man for prohibited camping early Wednesday morning.

An RPD report said just before 1:30 a.m.an officer contacted the 53-year-old due to his tent being set up under the pavilion in Gaddis Park in the 800 block of Northwest Highland Street. The main claimed he had been kicked out of one of the sanctioned camps due to having multiple dogs and needed somewhere to set up for the night.

The man had no prior convictions for prohibited camping, so was cited and released on the scene.
