Roseburg Police jailed a man for a parole violation on Tuesday.

An RPD report said at 2:30 p.m. officers responded outside a business in the 1400 block of Northwest Valley View Drive, regarding a male who was allegedly yelling at people and causing a disturbance. Officers contacted the 50-year-old and noticed he had a bag full of beer cans. Having alcohol went against his parole stipulations. The man’s parole officer authorized that he be detained for the probation violation.

He was detained without bail and was released on Thursday morning.
