Thrive Umpqua will have its Winter Solstice Walk on Sunday.

The winter solstice is the shortest day of the year and the longest night of the year within the Northern Hemisphere. Celebrate the winter solstice and the return of daylight with a luminary walk around Fir Grove Park. It will begin at the Umpqua Valley Arts Center on West Harvard Avenue in Roseburg. Following the walk, warm up with a cozy solstice cider, decorate a Yule tree, and take the opportunity to reflect on the season by adding hopes for 2026 and what to release from 2025.
