Douglas County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a rollover accident Monday morning in a rural area of Mrytle Creek.
According to a DCSO report, a 55-year-old Myrtle Creek woman was injured around 10:20 a.m. after her vehicle left the roadway for unknown reasons and rolled before coming to a rest on its wheels in the 7000 block of North Myrtle Road.
The woman reportedly was thrown from the vehicle and found nearby when deputies arrived on scene. She was initially unresponsive, but breathing. DCSO said she was eventually alert before being transported to Mercy Medical Center in Roseburg but couldn’t remember what had happened.
The woman was later transferred to PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend in Springfield. She was listed in critical condition as of Tuesday afternoon.
