Roseburg Police jailed a man for an alleged prior assault incident on Thursday.

An RPD report said at 10:10 a.m. officers contacted 39-year-old Steve Boggs in the 100 block of Northwest Stewart Parkway after he had allegedly sprayed a victim in the face with mace on Wednesday. Boggs admitted to the incident, and he was taken into custody.

He was charged with assault in the fourth-degree, unlawful use of a mace and for warrants. Boggs was detained on $162,500 bail.
