A missing woman from the Green District has been located deceased.

Undersheriff Brad O’Dell of the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said on Thursday at approximately 11:20 a.m. members of Douglas County Search and Rescue found Lori Sharman in the area of Happy Valley Road near Carnes Road, while conducting a follow up search. Deputies confirmed her death and notified her next of kin.

O’Dell said the Douglas County Medical Examiners Office was notified and is investigating the death. There are no currently indications of foul play.

Sharman was reported missing on November 20th. Deputies later located video showing Sharman leaving her residence on foot at 11:55 p.m. on November 19th. She had last been seen walking south on Carnes Road towards Castle Avenue. That is just a short distance from where her body was located.

O’Dell said DCSO would like to thank the many volunteers and community members for their efforts in trying to locate Sharman. O’Dell said the men and women of DCSO extend their deepest sympathies to the woman’s family.

No further information will be released at this time.
