Roseburg Police cited a man for a city ordinance violation for prohibited camping, and for providing false information early Thursday morning.

An RPD report said just after 12:00 a.m. officers contacted the 60-year-old at his camp near the intersection of Northeast Stephens Street and Northeast Diamond Lake Boulevard. The camp was the center of the bike path. The man reportedly attempted to provide a fake name and date of birth, but officers knew him from previous contacts. He was cited and released on scene without issue, and was told to move along.
